Magic Dovetails is an elegant packing puzzle inspired by the work of Peter Knoppers and Rogier Wolf on impossible dovetail constructions. The puzzle consists of eight uniquely shaped pieces featuring dovetail joints.
Your goal is to assemble all eight pieces into a perfect cube. At first glance, the puzzle appears impossible—the dovetails seem to block one another completely. The challenge is to discover the clever assembly sequence that makes the impossible possible.
Once assembled, the cube reveals an unexpected surprise: a hollow cavity hidden inside. It's a beautiful example of how clever geometry can create something that looks impossible yet fits together perfectly.
