Can three simple flat pieces become a perfect sphere?
Meta Ball consists of three circular pieces: two are identical, while the third has a slightly different central connector. Each piece also has two cutouts on opposite sides.
The goal is to discover how the three pieces interlock to form a complete ball, with every cutout filled and the final shape resembling a sphere. The pieces may look simple, but finding the correct way to connect them can be surprisingly difficult.
Its small size makes Meta Ball an ideal pocket puzzle—easy to carry, quick to hand to a friend, and much harder to solve than it first appears.
Meta Ball was an exchange puzzle presented by Marc Pauliger at IPP43 in Italy.
Goal: Connect all three pieces to form a complete sphere with all cutouts filled.
