Named after the legendary Transcontinental Race, a self-supported ultra-distance cycling race across Europe, TCR is a puzzle that rewards endurance, precision, and careful planning.
At first glance, TCR looks like a straightforward packing puzzle. Your task is to fit all 13 uniquely shaped pieces inside the box. But you'll quickly discover that packing everything inside is only half the challenge.
Each puzzle piece has a bore running through it. When assembled correctly, these bores align to form a continuous tunnel from the unrestricted opening at the top of the box to the circular cutout in the bottom. Drop the included 16 mm steel ball into the box, and it should pass through every single piece before exiting through the bottom.
There is only one assembly that makes this possible.
Interestingly, there are two additional ways to pack all 13 pieces perfectly flush inside the box. While they appear to be valid solutions, the tunnel is blocked, trapping the steel ball inside. Only the true solution allows the ball to complete its journey.
A brilliant combination of a packing puzzle and a hidden ball maze, TCR challenges your spatial reasoning while rewarding patience and persistence.
Goal: Pack all 13 pieces inside the box so the 16 mm steel ball passes through every piece and exits through the circular opening in the bottom.
