Cappuccino – IPP Exchange Packing Puzzle by Ivan Danik(Puzzle guy)
Originally created as Ivan Danik's exchange puzzle for the International Puzzle Party (IPP43), Cappuccino combines the classic Soma puzzle with a playful coffee-themed challenge.
The puzzle is stylized as a cup of cappuccino, but don't let its appearance fool you. Your task is not simply to fit all seven Soma pieces inside the cup. To solve the puzzle, the pieces must be packed so securely that when the cup is turned upside down, nothing falls out.
Imagine enjoying your morning cappuccino. The last thing you want is to spill it and leave an ugly stain on your shirt. The same principle applies here. If even a single piece falls out, you've spilled a drop—and that is not a solution.
Finding a packing arrangement that fits all seven pieces is only the beginning. The real challenge is discovering an arrangement that keeps every piece safely inside the cup when it is flipped over.
Originally produced as a limited-edition IPP exchange puzzle, Cappuccino is a compact puzzle that combines familiar Soma pieces with an unusual and satisfying packing challenge.
